Clayton Kershaw Folds Again In The Clutch

There has been a lot of talk in recent years by all the SABR Metrics idiots like Brian Kenney etc. that wins don't matter for pitchers and fans should just focus only on stats. To many of these people, Dodgers' lefty Clayton Kershaw is the second coming of Sandy Koufax.

Well, the great Kershaw choked the chicken again last night in the 2015 MLB All Star game in Cincinnati. Kershaw got hit hard and took the loss for the National League. So if Kershaw's Dodgers make it to the World Series in 2015, he cost his team the home field advantage.

So far in his career, Clayton Kershaw has choked in big spot he has been in. He has been a big part in the Dodgers' failures.

AJ Preller Is The Latest Boy Wonder GM To Fall Flat On His Face

All winter he have had to endure all those SABR Metrics dopes rave about what a great job new San Diego GM AJ Preller did with all his crazy off season. deals. Preller assembled the 2015 Padres like he was putting together a fantasy league team.

Now that his creation (the struggling 2015 Padres) are going down fast, Preller gave the ax to respected manager Bud Black today (of course Preller didn't blame himself and his ridiculous off season trades.)

When will baseball owners start to hire real seasoned 'baseball men' to run their teams instead of these arrogant college bean counters?

Overrated Andrew Friedman's Dismal MLB Drafts (2008-2014)

While GM's who actually win (like Giants' GM Brian Sabean) seem to get no respect around baseball. Overrated bean counters like the former Tampa Bay GM Andrew Friedman seem to get all the publicity. Friedman was being schooled to be an investment banker when he decided to jump into baseball to be the next SABR kid genius.

But few people remember that the success the Rays had was with players Tampa drafted before Friedman came to town (with the exception of a couple of slam dunk first round picks in 2006 & 2007.) But since 2007, Friedman's amateur drafts have been dismal. Tampa has had 19 first round picks (including the #1 overall pick Tim Beckham in 2008) and none of them have yet made any impact in MLB. In fact, Friedman's drafts have been nearly as bad as Billy Beane's!

Too Many Cardinal Announcers Calling Network Games These Days!

Isn't it time to start ridding the broadcast booth of obvious St. Louis Cardinal shills like Joe Buck, Bob Costas and Tim McCarver. I'm personally sick of all the St. Louis Cardinal ass kissing from the above three. Though I have to admit hearing Buck have to call Travis Ishikawa's game winning home run last night against his beloved Cardinals was a real treat! WE WON'T SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT! (Thank God for that!)

Brian Kenny Off His Rocker About GM Andrew Friedman

MLB Network's Brian Kenny is easily the most repellent person in the baseball media today. He might be even be more hard to take than the crusty old Bill James (Kenny comes close to wetting himself when talking about his idol James.)

Kenny's MLB Network show MLB now is absolutely brutal and should be called Geek Squad (it often resembles a bunch of calculator nerds at a Paul McCartney convention.) This show makes Intentional Talk look good.

Well today, Kenny called departed Tampa Bay Rays GM Andrew Friedman "one of the leaders of the analytics revolution." I'm sorry Brian but what has Andrew Friedman ever won? The answer is NOTHING? This is the real world Brian, they don't give out merit badges for competing and second place finishes. Kenny should have learned this after watching his beloved Billy Beane's Oakland A's choke the chicken in the 2014 stretch run.

Besides all that, Andrew Friedman has been absolutely dismal in his evaluation of amateur talent. Check out some of Friedman's horrible drafts in recent years. Friedman and Beane are home right now watching the World Series like the rest of us on TV. Brian Kenny on the other is no doubt trying to unload some of his Shin-Soo Choo rookie cards at the Ben Zobrist convention!

Bad Contracts Part 1: B.J. Upton (Atlanta Braves)

B.J. Upton was touted by many people as baseball's next superstar. While Upton did have impressive raw talent, he was just never able to put it all together and fulfill his potential. The Atlanta Braves foolishly doled out $75M to acquire Upton after his somewhat effective 2012 "contract year" and Upton has been absolutely wretched in his 1.5 seasons with the Braves. They are now stuck with him for three more seasons. Good luck trying to unload his salary!
